| Making a debut unlike any other, TESTPILOT (an alias of electronic music’s deadmau5 [aka Joel Zimmerman]) stood alongside Richie Hawtin for his first performance, performing back-to-back with the techno pioneer at SXSW 2013. From then on, Testpilot’s take on the genre has fused the tradition and soul of techno with a razor edge, sharpened by years of comprehensive knowledge of the music into his sets. He challenges the audience, diving into alternative sonic territories. Over the last decade, Canada’s Testpilot has gone on to play across some of the most coveted stages around the world including Coachella, Detroit’s Movement Festival, Ultra’s Resistance stages in both Miami and in Ibiza and EDC Las Vegas just to name a few.
